Hi guys! I actually spent nearly half of the month of October down in San Diego (some of you on social media thought I had moved there permanently!) and I have to say it was so good for my soul.
Allow me to recap:

My family rented a fab beach house for the month, and I didn’t hesitate to make myself at home in their guest room. I didn’t realize how much I needed a mini getaway after all of these months of quarantining on my own in LA.
I was happy to escape for a few days and quickly settled into SD, which meant a lot of time to go on long walks by the ocean, explore the city (it never gets old), and soak up quality time with my adorable little nephews during this chaotic and unexpected year.

We ate dinners al fresco on the balcony almost every night, celebrated Halloween in a safe and socially distanced way, explored all of the incredible attractions (Coronado Island, I love you), and played at the beach every. single. day.

Fun fact: I used to live in San Diego (Cardiff-by-the-Sea, to be exact) several years ago, so I am somewhat familiar with the city, but it’s always a fun town to visit over and over again.
Even though San Diego is quite literally just down the road from LA, it feels like another world entirely, and I am grateful for it.
Have you spent much time in this sunny city? For me, San Diego is a warm, comforting hug when you didn’t even know you needed it. SD, you will always hold a special place in my heart.
Tell me your fave places to visit!
xx Jenn
