After a long, long winter in Chicago, the whole city has been abuzz waiting for warmer weather. When I was invited to the summer re-opening of Noyane, the chic rooftop bar at The Conrad Hotel in my neighborhood, I was so ready for it.
I donned a breezy blush pink printed dress and my new rose gold heels and stepped out for a night under the stars. And while the views were breathtaking and the Asian-inspired fare was delicious and plentiful…the weather was just NOT cooperating that night.
It was freezing cold and windy as could be on the rooftop, and it wasn’t long before I found a warm blanket on one of the lounge chairs and proceeded to wrap myself in it for the remainder of the night!
We were positively chilled to the bone, which made for easy conversation among strangers and plenty of knowing nods and sympathetic smiles amongst those of us trying with all of our might to ring in Chicago summer.
All in all, it was a great party, despite the chilly temps. Here’s hoping it warms up (and stays that way!) soon.
Thank you, Noyane Chicago, for having us!
