Black and white always makes for a striking style statement during the holiday season. This elegant Nicole Miller full skirt is feminine, classy and a touch rock n’ roll if you style it just so. I loved it for a daytime office look…but that’s why they call me JCG.
For a cozy night of fireside lounging at a holiday-themed bar, I wore an oversized sequined cardigan by Diane von Furstenberg with black leggings and suede over-the-knee boots. The sweater cardigan was very heavy and warm, which was perfect for a night out in the Midwest. I loved the casual silhouette balanced by the glam fabrication, of course.
For a casual day in Chicago, I rocked this oversized plaid boucle shirtdress by The Kooples with leggings and over-the-knee suede boots and a sparkly statement necklace. I don’t normally wear plaid, but I’ve realized that in the Midwest, this is a very welcome look. I added a black bow in my hair to ensure that I didn’t look the slightest bit rugged or masculine in this ensemble.
What are your go-to outfits this month? With the busy holiday season, I definitely think a little wardrobe planning can make the world of a difference.
xx JCG
