Happy New Year!
Now that we’re all back from the holiday break, I wanted to share a few of my holy grail beauty obsessions that I absolutely love and encourage you all to check out!
So many people are always asking me what my absolute favorite products are, and while it would probably take years to list them all, I know that I would be an absolute wreck if I ever couldn’t get my hands on the ones mentioned below. I made a short list of some of my faves that I absolutely love and always will.
Behold a few of my all-time favorites–check back soon for another post with even more of my top beauty picks!
Pixi Beauty Hydrating Milky Mist, $15
I am in so in love with this lovely nourishing spray from Pixi by Petra! Its name sounds a bit suspicious (after all, what exactly is a ‘milky mist’?), but after a few spritzes, you’ll fall in love with it and easily understand why it’s called just that. The spray is incredibly hydrating and soothing and adds a sense of calm to your complexion at first touch. Can be used alone or over makeup for a quick pick me up! I used to spritz this on all of my co-workers, and we were unanimously infatuated with this facial mist.
I have tried countless hair serums and hydrating oils, but nothing beats this one by Davines. I can always rely on it to smooth and protect my locks without weighing it down or making it the least bit greasy. My hair really responds to the gorgeous Roucou oil and it’s truly all I need when coming out of the shower before I blow dry. I apply about three to four drops on the ends, and it works like a dream.
Hourglass Arch Sculpting Brow Pencil, $34
I got my brows microbladed in 2016 (FYI, probably one of the best decisions of my life), but I still rely on this handy pencil to keep them looking perfectly filled in every single day. The slanted tip is the perfect shape and keeps my brows looking flawless from day to night. The price is a little steep, but my pencil has lasted months, so I can’t complain. Hourglass makes a wide range of flattering and realistic shades, so there’s one for every set of brows.
Trust me, I love a LOT of hair products, but this is the one shampoo that I always come back to, year after year. I first discovered the BIG shampoo when I was an assistant editor at InStyle.com back in 2006, and I still love it now just as much as I did back then. The sudsy sea salt shampoo is incredibly unique and clarifying and gives my hair an instant boost of volume every time I use it. Plus, the incredible scent instantly takes me back to the beach! If you have fine hair, you’ll definitely want to check this one out for fresh-smelling volume.
Hot Tools Titanium Curling Iron, $65
When it comes to my hair, this is the one and only iron that always gets it right every single time. It’s a classic, but sometimes the classics are simply the best! This iron heats up quickly and delivers a lasting curl that works well on my long locks. If you’re wondering how I get my signature slightly tousled yet glam curls, this is my secret weapon! I use the 1″ barrel, which effectively adds just the right amount of oomph to my otherwise straight strands. For me, a smaller barrel works much better than a larger barrel. I can’t live without this one!
Skin Owl Mangosteen PM Drops, $85
I take my face oils very seriously, and there’s nothing better than smoothing on this miracle worker before bedtime. It smells insanely good and absorbs right into my skin without being too greasy. It boasts organic, cold-pressed South African Baobab Oil and is designed to act as a high-level anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-inflammatory godsend for the skin. I literally can’t live without it.
Have a specific beauty questions? Send it my way and I’ll answer it in a future post!
