I am absolutely loving life in Europe right now, and as this chapter starts to wind down (I fly back to LA in a mere TWO WEEKS), I’m constantly assuring myself that this is in no way the end of my life abroad. This experience has enriched me in so many ways, and I’ve learned so much about myself in a short time away from “regular life” back home in California.
Now that I’ve got a few more stamps in my passport, I wanted to share one recent discovery that I couldn’t live without right now.
Introducing…the Stay Charged Wireless Charger!
I was recently visiting a friend at the Hilton Opera hotel and hanging out at their Executive Lounge, chatting with the girls. We were passing my portable battery pack back and forth because everyone’s phone was dying.
Confession: my phone dies at least three to four times a day (what can I say, I’m a super user and am ALWAYS on it, but I also think my iPhone might be defective) and when my friend passed my own battery pack back to me, I discovered that she had drained all of the charge left and I was left with nothing.
Welcome to my worst nightmare.
Thankfully, a really kind man sitting next to us happened to be observing this whole charade. He tapped me on the shoulder and offered to let me use this handy phone charger that requires no cord, and sticks right on to the back of your phone.
Turns out, he’s the owner of this clever device and I learned all about it in minutes.
It charges with a normal USB charger and has already saved my (battery) life a few hundred times. It sticks on the back of my phone with suction cups and it super easy to tote around. Now I bring it with me wherever I’m going, and I love that I don’t have to worry about bringing a separate charging cable, too. One tip: charge it every single night, as I find that I tend to drain the whole thing when I am out and about, and be careful when handling the device, especially when taking it on and off your phone.
Might I suggest this as a holiday gift for anyone who is constantly on the go?
For travelers, battery life is probably THE most critical essential, as I am always on my phone. From navigating to destinations, booking flights or trains to researching Airbnbs or hotels, snapping inspirational photos and posting on social media, my iPhone is the key to making every one of my travel dreams a reality.
